Launched in Bangalore in December 2016 , Cookpad India aims to build the largest online cooking community in India. We believe in encouraging home cooking and making everyday cooking fun for every household in India. Cookpad is available in four languages (English, Hindi, Bangla & Gujarati). We plan to launch more local languages and reach out to even more communities in 2019. That’s why we are looking for exceptional people with B2C experience.
The objective of the role is community growth - to spread the value of Cookpad and build an unrivaled platform for every household in India to share cooking experience. The measure will be strong user communities across multiple local language. It will feel like a start-up and be very hands-on. Areas of responsibility include user growth and happiness, strategy design and execution, community building initiatives, product and data analysis. You will need to establish a new satellite office in New Delhi and attract a team of exceptional community managers. You will also work closely with Cookpad’s global team to scale.
The role reports to the Country Head, Cookpad India. Further expansion into Mumbai is planned for Q3/Q4 2019, so we are also interested in expressions of interest from community leads based in these locations.
This is not a sales and marketing role. We grow strong communities by solving real problems for people - that’s how we create value.

Is this role for you?
Please note: this is not a suitable role for candidates prefering careers in PR/Comms. marketing, business development and project management. Cookpad employs exceptional people who make things happen. We look for great problem solvers who can translate complex data into assumptions and testable hypotheses. This role requires creativity and analytical thinking in order to scale quickly. It is also a role that requires collaboration and you must demonstrate that you can engage, share and influence to bring about change and deliver outcomes. You will be confident working closely with technical and creative colleagues in a global environment.
We are looking for candidates who have a consulting or B2C background. Or maybe you’ve worked in a start-up before and love working in an environment where anything is possible. This is a senior role so you’ll need to have at least 4-6 years experience helping business scale.
