Cookpad is looking for a Creative Technologist to join a project team inventing new experiences for communities of home cooks. Our objective is making everyday cooking fun.
This is a new, incredibly varied role requiring hardware and software knowledge, a passion for self-learning and a problem-solving attitude where challenges are seen as opportunities. What we are looking for
Cookpad team members take ownership, care deeply about what they do and are optimistic that they can make change happen.
You will be working with changing technologies so must be confident with self learning to help you learn quickly and communicate technical limitations. Our environment is fast-paced and rapid prototyping is the cornerstone of our test and fail approach. You will manage the balance between generating fast solutions and solid engineering for long-term stability.
A core requirement is the ability to iterate a range of fidelity when prototyping; e.g. from paper prototype, interactive prototype, to working prototype.
Baseline technical skills include:
- Processing, Open Framework
- Hands on prototyping experience: developing interactive prototypes, linking web front end with hardware e.g. Arduino or Raspberry Pi, Sensors
Good to have:
- PCB design
- Consider him/herself a design engineer
- Have experience communicating with OEM/ODM manufacturing companies
- Self learning new things
